Lunar Gala: Elysium
A 3D motion experience for Lunar Gala, the largest fashion show in Pittsburgh.
Lunar Gala is a student-run fashion show that has brought together designers, performers, and thousands of audience members each spring since 1996. In 2025, I collaborated with a team of six motion designers to create 3D animated visuals that brought this year’s theme, Elysium, to life on stage.

The show consisted of 3D animations for the opening, closing, four acts, eighteen fashion lines, and two dance performances. Each backdrop followed a central sphere motif, tailored to its fashion line. Each motion designers collaborated closely with line designers to align visuals with the show’s theme and aesthetic.
Shatter Silk and KA were two line backdrops I led from start to finish, from developing moodboards, creating greybox previews, and communicating with fashion designers to finalize the animations.
This was such a fascinating learning experience and a chance to work with an incredibly talented team. I joined with minimal experience in Blender and Premiere Pro, but I was able to quickly build my skills thanks to the support of the motion team. Seeing the animations on the big screen in front of thousands of people passionate about fashion was truly unforgettable.
