Hi there!
I’m Emily Lau, an experiential designer and creative technologist studying Environments Design at Carnegie Mellon University, with minors in Human-Computer Interaction and Physical Computing.
I create playful, interactive experiences that blend the virtual and physical. My work often moves between spatial storytelling, branding, and hardware prototyping, but I’m always interested in how these different pieces can come together to make an experience feel more engaging and memorable.

That curiosity also shapes how I work. I like to get ideas out of my head early by making, prototyping, and testing them in context to see what works and where they can go next.

When I’m not designing, I’m probably looking for events near me, walking around with my camera, or planning my next trip. ✈︎
